Remove friction between information and insight with people-first analytics, a talk by Andrew Madson, Founder, Insights x Design
Talk Description
Analytics is historically built by first reviewing data, then modeling it, and last serving the information to the end users for them to (hopefully) draw insights. This process is backwards and results in thousands of unused dashboards with unhappy data analysts and stakeholders. Rethinking analytics design by focusing on people first takes an empathetic, analytics as a product approach to first understanding the users' jobs to be done, what they need to do those jobs, and how analytics can enable them to be better, stronger, faster.
